The Russian State Duma wants to recognize EU countries and the US as “aggressors.”
The corresponding bill was introduced by a group of MPs from “United Russia” and the Liberal Democratic Party, as reported by RIA Novosti.
In particular, the draft law would recognize as an aggressor state any country, which imposes sanctions on Russia.
Accordingly, it establishes that any foreign legal and natural persons registered in the “aggressor state,” as well as Russian legal entities affiliated or dependent on such foreign entities are prohibited to carry out activities related to the financial audit, legal and other consulting services in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The authors of the proposal explain that such measures are related primarily to the fact that currently the consulting industry in the Russian business is “monopolized by foreigners.”
“It is worth noting that 70% of the market for consulting services in Russia, which in 2013 amounted to more than 90 billion rubles, is owned by foreign companies,” – was said in the memorandum.
As was previously reported, the State Duma also proposes to establish “black lists” of foreigners.
