Oksana Levkova, the Director of the Ukrainian public organization “Ne bud bayduzhym!” (Do not be indifferent!) reported that the books were intended for the Naval Lyceum in Crimea, which currently has no need of Ukrainian literature.

Levkova wrote on her FB page that local officials in annexed Crimea were ridding all public institutions of Ukrainian literature.

Publications: Famous Names of Ukraine, Ancient History of Ukraine, Ukrainian Kozaks in Luhansk, Language and Society, How We Speak….

“These are the books that Russians consider harmful. These publications were rescued from burning in Sevastopol by the Crimean partner of the Ukrainian public organization “Do not be indifferent!” He managed to get them out of Crimea to Zaporizhya. All the books are in Ukrainian. It’s pretty obvious that Russian-language brochures or volumes aren’t a threat to forming the new Russian “Crimean” identity.” – wrote Levkova.

Reminder – On the night of 12 to 13 November, unidentified persons attempted to set fire to a mosque in the village of Solnechnaya Dolyna (Sudak raion). On June 13, an unidentified man tried to set fire to the mosque Chukurcha Cami in Simferopol.

the [Roman] catholic church did this with books not apt for Catholics – the Nazis did the same with Jewish readings; what’s new? And with what result? see history!
