SBU: “The events in terrorist ‘DNR’ and ‘LNR’ are an act of violence and have nothing to do with elections”

Translated by: Mariya Shcherbinina

The events of November 2 in the terrorist ‘DNR’ and ‘LNR’ are an act of violence and have nothing to do with elections, stated the Ukrainian Security Service (the SBU).

Within the framework of the criminal investigation that began today, the SBU and the MIA are documenting dozens of crimes of continuous shooting at civilians, sabotage (Mariupol), cynical pressure using weaponry and artillery on the citizens (Snizhne), bribery and blackmail (Donetsk), says the comment.

The SBU emphasizes that what is happening is “cynically forcing and luring the citizens into ‘traps,’ as there is no other way of calling the locations for pseudo-voting.”

In these places “people are being offered food, vegetables and fruits, imported from Russia with the so-called humanitarian convoy, for almost nothing,” and the ‘voting’ itself, according to the SBU, “if a cynical farce organized by the criminals in order to collect a database of people and categorize them in accordance with the ‘DNR’ and ‘LNR’ criminal needs.”

In particular, the comment says, service-age citizens are viewed by the mercenaries and their Moscow-based masters as “cannon fodder to fight against Ukraine and as a supplement to the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.” This is evidenced by the summons to serve based on Russian law, samples of which were published by the SBU.

The Ukrainian Security Service, says the comment, “once more called for all Ukrainian citizens to resist participating in this bacchanalia and not make an erroneous step which would negate your future and that of your children.”
