Donbas threatened by mass radioactive pollution

The ecological disaster may reach Russia

Within several months, a massive ecological disaster may arise on the occupied territory of Donbas, as well as the southern regions of Rostov oblast in Russia, as radioactive waters are rising to the surface from the mines the mercenaries have flooded, reports head of the Independent Miner Trade Union of Ukraine Mykhaylo Volynets, cited by Ukrinform.

“In Yenakiyevo, Poltavska mine has been flooded, nearby they are flooding Vuhlehirska. This is next to Yunkom mine, during whose development, a nuclear explosion occurred in 1979. At the moment the polluted waters from the mine are rising, and within four to five months they will take radioactive materials to the surface. The level of radioactive pollution will surpass the norms thousands of times,” Volynets predicts.

In the 1990s, when, as consequence of so-called restructuring dozens of mines were abandoned in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, the waters from the mines polluted hundreds of hectares of agricultural land lots not only in Ukraine, but in the south of Rostov oblast, as the local mines are connected to the neighboring Ukrainian underground natural channels.

Besides, the poisonous chemical compounds that rise to the surface due to underground waters end up in rivers which are part of the Don basin, and further into the Azov Sea. In particular, there is a threat that monochlorinebenzone might reach it, as 50 tons of it formerly got into the Olexandr-Zakhid mine in Horlivka.

“Ukraine and Russia should comprehend the impending catastrophe,” emphasized the head the Independent Miner Union.

    Anyone heard of “karma”?

More of the legacy Putin is leaving behind with his sponsorship of the terrorists he sent into Donbass. The cleanup costs for this should be paid for by Russia. Take it out of the personal fortunes of Putin and his supporting oligarchs that have been made rich by their theft from the Russian people.

The only problem will be to get access to that little mongol’s billions he’s got stashed away. That’ll never happen. What will happen will be the countries around apeville will continue to have wars waged upon them and apeville itself will continue to decline, their young apes wanting to go to places like the USA and live the good not available in russia’s apeville.

  • Milton Devonair

Oh no! If there’s a big dump of radio activity in occupied donbas, there will be legion of very malignant, deformed, exceedingly ignorant, mouth breathing apes roaming the cities there, threatening humans that live there!!!
Oh, yeah, right, that’s already happened when the russians and chechens came there.
So what will change again? The russian apes will be glow in the dark neon or something?

and the pollution will be spread into southern Russia….which in turn will blame the ghost of Stepan Bandera who still lurks under their beds…

Maybe their glow will be orange and brown like the Colorado beetle???

Night time glow–great for target acquisition.

Well if Putin can’t safely invade Ukraine he will make them glow in the dark. Another Chernobyl present.
