Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Olexandr Turchynov will initiate the discussion of the issue of banning Russian TV series on Ukrainian TV channels at the Monday Parliament session, reports the Ukrainian Parliament website.

“I fully support the position of the commands regarding the fact that it is unacceptable to broadcast media products, TV series in particular, which make the enemies of our country and those who started and supports the war in Ukraine into heroes, on Ukrainian TV channels,” Turchynov said.

Volunteer battalion commands addressed an open letter to President Petro Poroshenko with the petition to “cover the information rear.” This was reported on Saturday at the National Defense Headquarters in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. The letter was signed by command of troop Dnipro-1 Yury Bereza, command of Donbas battalion Semen Semenchenko and command of Myrotvorets battalion Andriy Teteruk. According to them, they are indignant with the policies of Ukrainian TV channels, in particular, the presence of Russian propaganda on them. They asked Poroshenko to stop “broadcasting Russian propaganda in the shape of media products, including series, film, entertainment programs, in which our enemies are shown in an inspirational and idealized way.”

russia has TVs? Where’d they steal that technology from?

    • Andreas

Steal? They invented the freaking thing! –

But don’t worry, some decades later the Ukrainians were given the technology through the kind sharing and wonderful freedom of Soviet. So the next time you turn on a TV, remember, it’s thanks to Russia that you can do so! 😉

Hopefully, the Maidan Moscow will shown on muscovite TV next spring.

Did you read your own link? Other people were working on it and earlier and as with any person that has anything going for them, they left russia when most of the primates there rose up and took control of the zoo. IIRC, Sikorsky also fled baboonland and came to the USA.

russia is just like mexico–their two biggest exports are gas and their youth.
Anyone who was anyone or wants to be anyone always has left russia….or died a drunk.

Nice avatar of Mr.Clean…you must be constantly trying to get that Moskal smell off of you. No wonder Russian women keep escaping to Ukraine.

  • Michel Cloarec

TV to russia was stolen from Goebels propaganda headquarter with the instructions how to use it .

Only fascist states sink as low as to censor what their people are allowed to watch and not watch. Fortunately Ukraine isn’t a fascist state. Or is it?

    • nysq1

I agree-this should not be accepted. It’s a slippery slope. Please Ukraine, don’t make mistakes…

    • Milton Devonair

comrade, are you on an official russian computer on putins network? Watching all of his offically owned media?
Using technology russia didn’t create on computers they didn’t create or even build.
Wait, maybe you russians did steal a radio factory from Germany like you stole everything else from Germany, then shipped it lock, stock and barrel to the cesspool called russia.

Got all the factories moved out of Ukraine yet and put into cesspool? I mean, russia? Or do you have more to steal?

  • Trueteller

Ukraine is flooded by Russian propaganda movies, serials, shows…It”s not normal in situation when those same Russians attack Donbass and annexed Crimea. Try imagine Great Britain watch German movies and serials while Hitler”s army shelling UK.

    • Milton Devonair

True, there is an “information war” going on. Why else would the apes of russia have all these paid kids lying for them on the internet? And linking putin owned media (all of russia’s media)?

russians are like muslims where they will use the freedoms that come with places where humans live, use it to destroy the area, then take over the area, and claim it as theirs, wilding like on the set of the movie “Planet of the Apes”.

      • Trueteller

Yes my friend.I want to add one more thing. What people would feel if US TV channels showed after 9.11. Afghanistan”s movies and serials produced under Taliban regime? Is it about “freedom of speech”?

        • Milton Devonair

I agree and it’s common sense and that other account is little more than a houseboy of putin, taking time off from cleaning the bathrooms in putin’s Karelia dachas.

Every country in time of war and national emergency takes appropriate measures to ensure the survival of their country. Only apes from russia would think that humans would think otherwise.
