Another column of vehicles carrying personnel to fight on the side of the pro-Russian militants has crossed into Ukraine from Russia‬ at the Izvaryne border crossing checkpoint in Luhansk‬ Oblast, Dmytro Tymchuk, military journalist and coordinator of the Information Resistance group, has written on Facebook.

He said that the column comprised buses with “mercenaries who were trained at the training centre of the Main Intelligence Directorate [GRU] of the Russian Armed Forces in Rostov”.

Tymchuk noted that at least 40 buses with militants had entered Ukrainian‬ territory over the last two days. A group of 40 Russian “mercenaries” arrived in Horlivka in Donetsk Oblast alone, Tymchuk wrote.

He also said that two special groups of Russia’s GRU representatives were operating in Donetsk. The first group comprised seven specialists in subversion and the other one comprised specialists in information and psychological operations.

According to Tymchuk, Russia has been actively sending ammunition to the militants involved in attacks on Donetsk airport. “Around 50-60% of all mortars, artillery shells and rockets delivered from Russia are being sent there,” Tymchuk wrote.

Special evacuation teams from Russia were sent to Donbas to take out the damaged hardware and equipment which belongs to the regular units of the Russian army, Tymchuk said. Meanwhile, he said that Russia had suggested that the militants fix their damaged hardware by themselves.

Tymchuk wrote that pro-Russia terrorists have set up a base to repair the hardware at the machine-building plant in the town of Snizhne in Donetsk Oblast. He added that the main base of the rebels for repair work had been set up in Donetsk.
