Another column of vehicles carrying personnel to fight on the side of the pro-Russian militants has crossed into Ukraine from Russia‬ at the Izvaryne border crossing checkpoint in Luhansk‬ Oblast, Dmytro Tymchuk, military journalist and coordinator of the Information Resistance group, has written on Facebook.

He said that the column comprised buses with “mercenaries who were trained at the training centre of the Main Intelligence Directorate [GRU] of the Russian Armed Forces in Rostov”.

Tymchuk noted that at least 40 buses with militants had entered Ukrainian‬ territory over the last two days. A group of 40 Russian “mercenaries” arrived in Horlivka in Donetsk Oblast alone, Tymchuk wrote.

He also said that two special groups of Russia’s GRU representatives were operating in Donetsk. The first group comprised seven specialists in subversion and the other one comprised specialists in information and psychological operations.

According to Tymchuk, Russia has been actively sending ammunition to the militants involved in attacks on Donetsk airport. “Around 50-60% of all mortars, artillery shells and rockets delivered from Russia are being sent there,” Tymchuk wrote.

Special evacuation teams from Russia were sent to Donbas to take out the damaged hardware and equipment which belongs to the regular units of the Russian army, Tymchuk said. Meanwhile, he said that Russia had suggested that the militants fix their damaged hardware by themselves.

Tymchuk wrote that pro-Russia terrorists have set up a base to repair the hardware at the machine-building plant in the town of Snizhne in Donetsk Oblast. He added that the main base of the rebels for repair work had been set up in Donetsk.

Sound like a few new targets for the Ukrainian Air Force!

Another proof that no one wishes to respect “ceasefire”

  • TruthTeller

The west says there is no military solution. Russia promotes an undeclared military solution. The Minsk agreements and cease-fire are political lies. Therefore, the only solution is to force Russia’s hand by sending in international troops to secure the borders. Then Russia has to openly declare her intentions. Having another frozen conflict in Europe and kicking the can down the road only increases the chances of World War. If you don’t deal with problems they return to haunt you later.

The “international troops to secure the borders” sounds good but can it really work? Also:

      a) Russia is not promoting an undeclared military solution. What they ARE promoting is a blatant LAND GRAB of east Ukraine. For example, “Russian KAMAZ trucks are being loaded with equipment from the Donetsk Topaz plant, which manufactures modern early warning radar equipment like the ‘Kolchuga’ radar complex, as well as equipment from a plant in Luhansk that manufactures small arms ammunition.”
And they are already stealing Ukraine’s coal and trucking it to Russia. Is that what you’d call a “military solution”? I don’t. Peel away the rhetoric and it will reveal the bare facts.

      b) The Minsk agreement was accepted by all sides:

“On September 20 in Minsk, the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine comprising representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE adopted a memorandum outlining the parameters for the implementation of commitments on the ceasefire in Ukraine laid down in the Minsk Protocol of September 5.

“The document contains nine points, including in particular a ban on the use of all armaments and withdrawal of weapons with the calibers of over 100 millimeters to a distance of 15 kilometers from the contact line from each side. The OSCE was tasked with controlling the implementation of memorandum provisions.”
