Tymchuk: pro-Russian ‘separatists’ preparing two-front offensive in eastern ‪Ukraine‬, latest ‘aid’ convoy bought ammo, equipment

Ukrainian‬ military journalist Dmytro Tymchuk posted this on his Facebook on 22 September:

‘The operational information of the Information Resistance group.
The most difficult situation in the conflict area in Donbas remains in the population centres of Donetsk, Debaltseve and Mariupol.

According to our information, Russian terrorist troops are preparing a simultaneous offensive in the coastal regions and in the north of the area under their control in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. The leaders of the terrorist organizations are currently in discussions with the Russian command over which of the two areas to treat as primary and which as secondary.

The possibility of appointing the terrorist Igor “Bes” Bezler as “supreme commander-in-chief of Novorossiya” is being actively discussed. Simultaneously, a decision has been taken to carry out massive cadre purges among the leadership of the terrorist groups. A circular letter has been issued in the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s republic which mandates that “subversive and reconnaissance groups be manned only by trusted fighters who have shown themselves in previous battles”.

Electronic warfare and intelligence systems have been observed to arrive from Russia. The systems are manned by organic Russian crews and guarded exclusively by Russian servicemen. They move exclusively at night and camouflage carefully; their operational parameters are not being disclosed to the terrorists. Part of these systems arrived with the so-called humanitarian convoy from Russia.

The latest Russian‬ ‘humanitarian convoy’ to Donbas also brought ammunition, which is being offloaded at depots of the self-proclaimed Luhansk people’s republic (LNR).

Support facilities (depots, repair shops, etc) are being deployed near the population centres of Snizhne and Krasnyy Luch. Transhipment bases have also been deployed there. Part of the freights arriving from Russia (mostly ammunition and gear) are sent on to the vicinity of the population centre of Telmanove and further to the south. Heavy hardware and armament arrive from Russia via Novoazovsk.

The DNR and LNR leaders strictly demand that the militants take care of the hardware and armament, explaining that deliveries from Russia are going to stop soon and that the Russian military command has suggested that ‘Novorossiya’ create its own repair facilities.”

Editor’s comment. On September 20, the third Russian “humanitarian convoy,” unchecked by Ukrainian and Red Cross representatives, was deployed to Luhansk. Its route was changed at the last moment; as late as September 18, Russian media reported that the convoy was ready to leave for Donetsk from Kamensk-Shakhtinskiy; however, in two days time, the convoy departed to Luhansk from Matveyev Kurgan. No explanations were offered as to the change of the route. Recent developments show that the reason probably lies in a military operation planned in the direction of Mariupol.
