“Phoenix” battalion receives the first batch of Mitsubishi pick-up trucks

The “Phoenix” battalion of the 79th Separate Mykolayiv Airborne Brigade has gained strength with three powerful Mitsubishi L-200 pick-up trucks, which are going to be modernized by the means of installing armor-plating and 12,7 mm NSV machine guns.

The volunteers have bought 18 new automobiles in total, which are going to be divided amongst “Phoenix”, 25th Separate Airborne Brigade and the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the “Phoenix” battalion received heavy weaponry, that was produced back in the 1940s, hence even the BM-37 mortars manufactured in 1943 are at the disposal of the servicemen. However, the servicemen assured that they are ready to beat the enemy with whatever they have.

We would like to remind you that the “Donbas” battalion is due to receive ten tanks and new volunteers.
