Sadly, the EU and western countries are afraid of Putin and the negative effects on their electoral chances. Merkel is especially concerned due to what has become German reliance on Russian energy and gas and economic access.
The Canadian diaspora is regularly disheartened buy the failure of Western leaders – and the Un Secretary General – to believe that a political conclusion to the issues are possible. Putin is a bully. You do not negotiate with a bully – you slap him in the face. The only way there will be resolution is with European and Western assistance militarily. Sadly, the history of corrupt Ukrainian politicians has not endeared themselves to receiving unqualified and generous support from skeptical world leaders elsewhere. It may be that many are still skeptical of Poroshenko still as well.
We hope and pray that Ukrainian people can fight on – and we know that you feel isolated. Know you are not forgotten. We hope and pray that allies start coming to your assistance.

Germany can always start a few nuclear stations and they have a lot of gas in storage. ( I hope Germany will do just that) The unconfortable countries are those that have a total dependance like Slovakia, Hungaria , Bulgaria ect. What we see now is a very deep dissapointment in all West countries. They see that all fhey invested in Russia was was in wain after all (I was also fooled) Putin is just a small FSB agent after all

Could the Ukrainian soldiers fire over the border now Petro?

    • Jacob Schønberg

No , because Ukraine want to follow the rules , and even in extreme distress they just pay the price to behave decent
