Facebook “Cargo-200” group created to identify and repatriate dead Russian soldiers

People in social networks have formed a group to enable the return of the bodies of Russian soldiers killed in the Donbas.

The group’s name is “Cargo-200 from Ukraine to Russia”, using the Russian military term for Killed in Action.

In just a few days, several hundred members have signed up to the group.

The introduction to the group states: “There are refrigerators with dead bodies going from Ukraine to Russia today, but the Russian media prefer to remain silent on those who die in Ukraine. The group was created to identify the dead.”

The Administrator informed that on one day, 1,750 people had joined the group, with a total as of August 27 of 5,333 members. “Most people did not know that there is a war in the Donbas and that too many Russians end up as Cargo-200 (killed in action).  Ukraine is ready to transfer the bodies to Russia at its own expense, but the Russian authorities are silent on this fact.”

Administrators of the page forbid any aggression and abuse in this group, all disputes are advised to be sent by personal letter via chat or expressing opinions and positions at memeners’ own FB pages.

According to a statement at the Cargo-200 Facebook page, many people were shocked by the truth. “Those who do not believe, I advise you to get yourselves to Rostov morgues as a start. If you are looking for your relatives, feel free to leave questions in this group, do not write me to a personal chat. There should not be any false modesty on this issue. If you were already threatened that a body would not be returned if you would openly ask questions, be sure it’s a bluff! Bodies with established identity will be returned to all those who have documents. They are known in Rostov morgues and the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine). Bodies from Ukraine will be returned at Ukraine’s expense, as assured by the Ukrainian side.”

As previously reported by Korrespondent.net, there were numerous dead Russian citizens who fought for the separatists in Ukraine.

In addition, commanders of Kostroma paratroopers, at a meeting with relatives of the dead and detained in Ukraine, confirmed that Russian military servicemen were “on the territory of a neighboring state” and suffered casualties as a result of a battle with Ukrainian ATO (anti-terrorist operation) forces.
