Yanukovych extended special privileges to Yushchenko

Yanukovych extended special privileges to Yushchenko

The Ukraine’s third president, Viktor Yushchenko, has two vehicles and the right to medical treatment and rest in the clinics and sanatoriums of the State Administration of Affairs, all at the government’s expense.

As President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych issued a secret decree providing his predecessor, Viktor Yushchenko, with three advisers, two assistants (including Press Secretary, Iryna Vannikova), four chauffeurs, a security guard, two chambermaids, and several waiters and cooks. This exclusive news was reported by LigaBusinessInform in its article “Privileges received by high-ranking officials at the taxpayers’ expense”.

Previously, special privileges extended to senior officials were classified. On August 4, President Petro Poroshenko removed the “not for publication” stamp on 15 presidential decrees and cancelled 13 special orders on financial security and protection for retired or non-active senior officials.

All the persons at Yushchenko’s disposal were registered with the State Administration of Affairs, which means they were maintained at the taxpayers’ expense.

Viktor Yushchenko, the former leader of Our Ukraine, also has two vehicles and two houses in the elite Koncha Zaspa at his disposal. He has the right to medical treatment and rest in sanatoriums and clinics of the State Administration of Affairs.
