United Russia member wants to ban Ukrainian singer Ivan Dorn from Russia

A member of the ruling United Russia party in the St. Petersburg city council Vitali Milonov wants to ban the songs and video clips of Ukrainian singer Ivan Dorn from Russian radio and TV, as well as from performing in Russia. This is reported by the radio station Govorit Moskva.

The reason for the United Russia member’s indignation was the singer’s performance at the song contest “Novaya Volna”: Ivan Dorn sang the song “Tanets Pingvina” in Ukrainian, having gone onstage in a T-shirt with the Ukrainian coat of arms followed by two dancers clad as bearded women.

According to Milonov, after this “trick,” Ivan Dorn “may sing in Lviv or Ivano-Frankivsk but not in Russia.”

“I sincerely wish him that support on part of the Ukrainian nationalists never wanes and that he completely immerses himself in the vortex of European integration: he has to put on a skirt, grow a small beard and announced that he is a homosexual, and then he will become a fully Euro-integrated Ukrop (Ukrop is a schoolyard slur for Ukrainians – ed.),” said Milonov.
