they likely will be swapped for our people being held in Russia

      • llewellynh

That is important but I sure hope that some point some of these thugs pay and pay big time but via a legal process. However, if they are Russian citizens they may just want to stay in Ukraine.

        • On the Balcony

Bearing in mind the propaganda being promulgated by Russia, these prisoners might be misguided soviet minded idealists, Russian soldiers following orders to fight the “fascists,” putin puppets or thrill seeking mercenaries. Of these, I believe that only the latter two deserve our complete contempt and full vengeance. But even so, vengeance is not as important as redeeming the lives of our own.

          • llewellynh

I’m not talking about vengeance but have you been watching the photos and films of these guys pushing around armed to the teeth people who have come to preserve that crime scene and take care of the dead?

There are legal processes that apply and some of the behavior I have seen just crosses the line.

There is propaganda everywhere these days: it doesn’t mean you have to accept it.

Swap some; trials for the leaders however; anything else would be an injustice to the victims-the wounded, the raped, and the dead of Ukraine.

          • On the Balcony

I agree that some “heads should roll.” But we should not become obsessed with seeking justice for past and present wrongs, rather we should focus on establishing real Justice for all Ukrainians.

          • Randall Cook

Oh I agree–but a few of the guilty should most certainly be punished by the rightful Legal Systems.

“ALL THE FIGHTERS HAVE RUSSIAN CITIZENSHIP”…
    >either the rats are fleeing their sinking ship and leaving the Ukrainian citizen fellow rebels behind….or this more proof of Russia’s actual war on Ukraine

  • sandy miller

All Russian and chechen mercenaires need to be kept and make sure to have unbiased european countries there to prove who these fighters are.

  • mark273

This is not a civil war. The fighters are from a different country. This is an invasion.

    • Arctic_Slicer

I’ve been saying for months that it’s correct to call this a Russo-Ukrainian war where Ukraine is killing Russian invaders and Russian collaborators.

      • mark273

And the war would end if the Russians would go back to Russia.

        • Arctic_Slicer

          Exactly.

  • Murf

You know back in the good old days we called enemy tanks rolling across a boarder an invasion.

  • Mazepa

Of course they had mockal passports. However, instead of prison, they should have their throats sliced open and allowed to slowly bleed out. Never waste bullets on a mockal pedophile.

    “kill the rebels”

  • Dean Clark

Sure šŸ˜€ when I go to foreign country as a merc, disguised as local armed insurjent, to fight against it’s goverment, I’ll obviously take my passport and all of my credentials with me šŸ˜€ just in case.

    • wayneroyce

I notice that lot of the “rebels” being captured and interviewed on video are openly admitting their arrangements. How much they are being paid who recruited them and for what purpose etc.

  • wayneroyce

Russia has been active in hiding their involvement in this war they
have imposed on Ukraine. These “rebels” video interviews, photos and
other details MUST BE PUBLISHED ON THE INTERNET NOW, because they
    constitute a body evidence, and
that evidence now has a strong, imminent risk of being destroyed.
Also their lives are at risk, NOT from Ukrainians, but Russian forces tasked with the cleaning up of such evidence.
After any invasion this information will become a minor detail and will be forgotten behind such a major event.
Now is the only time such information’s release will have any importance in slowing a Russian invasion that now appears imminent.
